  • How long will it take to charge up the Linea Pro device?
    The charging time varies depending on the battery levels for the Linea Pro and the iOS device. As a rule it will take between four (4) and six (6) hours to fully charge both devices.
  • Do I need to remove the iOS device from the Linea Pro for charging?
    No, the Linea Pro is designed to charge both the Linea Pro and the iOS device at the same time with no reason to separate the two.
  • What is the best way to charge the Linea Pro?

    We would recommend that you use the purpose built drop in charging cradles. If you elect not to use these charging cradles, we recommend that you use an Apple® USB adapter (Model Number: MD836X/A). If you elect to use a non-Apple® power adapter please ensure that you use one that is MFi compliant (look for the MFi logo on the packaging as shown below). Please ensure the unit is a 12Watt/5VDC/2.1Amp device.

    If you are looking at utilising the USB ports on your PC or laptop to charge up both devices, please note that the charging time will be greatly extended, typically anywhere from ten (10) to fifteen (15) hours or longer depending on the current output of the PC. Please note if you are using an Apple® iMac or MacBook the charging time will be four (4) to six (6) hours.

  • What barcode types can be read with the Linea Pro barcode readers?
    The Linea Pro barcode readers have been built to read most 1D or 2D (depending on model) barcode symbology that is current. Please note that a 1D scanner can only read a 1D barcode, yet a 2D scanner can read both a 1D and 2D barcode.
  • Can I still use all of the features of my iOS device when it is attached to the Linea Pro or Infinea Tab?
    All of our devices allow full functionality of the iOS features.
  • Are the Linea Pro devices Apple® certified and MFi?
    The Linea Pro and Infinea Tab products are certified by Apple® prior to release and are MFi compliant.
  • Where can I obtain the SDK for the Linea Pro products?
    The SDK is available from our developer's portal (http://ipcprint.com/developer). Simply register yourself on this portal and then log on to download the latest SDK.
  • I want to print using my Linea Pro, how can I do this?
    There are a few ways that this can be achieved.
    • Use an Apple® MFi portable Bluetooth printer , for example the IPC DPP-250/250/450 portable thermal receipt printer range. This will allow you to print directly from the iOS device to the printer. Examples are for printing receipts, parking violations, on-demand ticketing etc.
    • The second method is if you already have Bluetooth printers in use that are not MFi compliant, and you do not want to replace them. The Linea Pro with optional built-in Bluetooth module will allow you to print via your existing printers.
  • Can I read RFID tags with my Linea Pro?
    Yes, if you purchase the Linea Pro with the optional RFID reader. The RFID reader is compliant with ISO 14443 and ISO 15693 and any of the MiFare tags. For further information please give us a call.
  • Do your products come with software?
    We are a hardware-only company, therefore we provide only the actual devices and not the software that runs on them. We work with many software developers and if you are looking for pre-made software please take a look at the applications that our software partners have created in our App Partners section.
  • Do you have a simple testing application that I can use to test my device?
    Yes we have a purpose built application that allows you to test all the functions of the Linea Pro device. The application is Batcher and it is available free of charge from the Apple® App store.
  • Which Apple® iOS devices do you have products for?
    Infinite Peripherals have been working alongside Apple® for more than 6 years now and develop products that suit all iOS devices. Please check out our website for the latest products .
  • Can I reset the Linea Pro device?
    Yes you can reset the scanner by holding down the scan button and simultaneously pushing in the LED charge status button.
  • What is the warranty period for the Linea Pro and Infinea Tab products?
    All products are covered by a twelve (12) month warranty from the date of purchase against manufacturing faults. Our warranty is based on a RTB (Return To Base) warranty. Our warranty does not cover any misuse or abuse. We also provide extensions to the standard warranty, in the way of an optional warranty uplift to a total of three (3) years, which is made up of one (1) year manufacturers warranty and a two (2) year uplift. Ask your supplier when purchasing these products.
